Yearly and Monthly Programs

Yearly Programs at Tharavad

1. May 27 – On the day of Tharavad inauguration a “Gana Homa”, “Satyanarayana Pooja”, “Shuddhi Kalasha” will be performed.
2. After the 5th day of “Aati Amavasye”, which will come mostly in August a ‘Nagara Panchami” will be celebrated at Tharavad by offering Milk to Serpent God “Naga” and it will begin at 9:00 AM.
3. On first day of of Ganesh Chathurthi “Gana Homa” will be performed.
4. On November 1st – A “Bhajana” program will be conducted.
5. On the 10th day of the month “Thula” (Or mostly on October 27) – A “Guru Naivedya” or popularly know as “Chattor” (In Malayalam) will be performed.
6. Lighting with “Diya” on all the 3 days of Deepavali, mostly in the month of November will be conducted.

Monthly Programs at Tharavad

“Sankramana Pooje” – Members who want to perform Sankrmana Pooje must pay RS 500 in advance and inform the committee
